In order to promote political dialog and stability in the
region, and also to more actively involve Romanian communities outside the
border, FfP has also run regional cooperation programs, in partnership with
organizations in the Centers for Pluralism Network in Hungary and Serbia.
- Building the Future Together was a program run
in partnership with Democracy After Communism (DAC), an organization with
membership in the Centers for Pluralism Network in Hungary. There were 50
Hungarian and Romanian young political leaders that benefited from the
program, representing parliamentary political parties from the two countries.
The young politicians took part in courses regarding European integration, the
expansion of NATO, minorities, tolerance and cultural diversity, cultural
identity, economic cooperation and presented case studies on problems common
to both countries.
- The School for Young Political Leaders from Romania and
Serbia was a program run in partnership with Civic Initiatives in
Belgrade, a member organization of the Centers for Pluralism Network in Serbia
and Montenegro. 84 young political and civic leaders from Romania and Serbia
benefited from the program, which involved training sessions and study visits
to Timisoara and Belgrade.
Stability through partnership was a
training program which involved 40 young NGO representatives, journalists, civil servants,
and elected officials from the Republic of Moldova.
The Regional School for Young Political and Civic
Leaders is a training program which involves 40 young NGO and
political leaders from Moldova and Romania.
