The Foundation for Pluralism’s
main activity is the training of young political leaders. FfP was the first
and so far only nongovernmental organization in Romania that has
systematically and impartially organized seminars and debates for young
political leaders, focused on promoting the dialog between representatives
of political parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties. From 1994 to 2006,
FfP has organized nine editions of the School for Young Political Leaders.
Through these programs the young politicians gained a better knowledge and
understanding of political doctrines, had the opportunity of free and open
dialog and the possibility of acquiring new abilities, necessary for an
efficient political action. From the over 1200 participants, many have
become members of the Government (ministers, state secretaries, cabinet
chiefs, presidents and vice-presidents for governmental organizations),
members of Parliament (senators and deputies), parliamentary experts,
territorial cabinet chiefs, public clerks or were elected in the local
public administration structures (mayors, vice-mayors, local counselors). |
